Welcome to our July Newsletter. I am writing this from a hotel room in Exeter this month, as I am finishing the last part of my counselling course. As I am standing on the edge of this life cycle (that is what I like to call the significant moments of my life journey), I feel the new phase on the horizon: another cycle is about to begin too. I am becoming a qualifying liberation counsellor soon, and I cannot be more humbled, excited and equipped. Eager to start the work in my own capacity and continue it for the charities I volunteer at as well.
Welcome to our June Newsletter.
Happy Pride Month! In line with the month of shedding our binary bias, I have signed up with the wonderful team of Pearn Kandola for their series of webinars on the topic of LGBTQ+-friendly organisations. I am still struggling with my binary setup at times, and I am trying hard to change it. I usually start by reminding myself that I MAY BE WRONG, and that’s OK. I like those training sessions because they are inclusive and full of practical tips.
Welcome to our May Newsletter. This month, due to my work travels, our newsletter is a little bit later. Please, accept my apologies for that. I was supporting the AI with Trust Conference in Geneva and re-connecting with my tech and coaching friends and clients – which, after five years of therapeutic studies, feels like a perfect arrival to a balanced work.
Welcome to our April Newsletter.
It’s spring, and many of us feel exhausted, detached, and quite tired. It’s been a long two years now. So this month, I intend to understand why we disconnect and sometimes even dissociate from the overwhelming messages we access online and through our friends. Why do we choose to disengage from the news? Why do we prefer a state of inertia over a healthy connection with balanced, curated access to trusted sources and to…well, facts? And when does this connection feel simply too much to carry?
First of all, I would like to extend my thoughts towards all the people affected by the current war in Ukraine – I hope you and your networks are safe. Voxel Hub is here to explore all perspectives critically; however, in moments of the clear attack on our humanity, we stand for peace. We stand we Ukraine and with each and every individual affected by the events in the region – regardless of their physical, national or psychological belonging.
Welcome to our February Newsletter. As we enter the lunar year of the Tiger, I am thinking a lot about the myth of the scary Internet. I was working with a fabulous therapist the other day, exploring my future plans and worries on a sand tray – a tool that helps us tap into the subconscious. What emerged for me as a critical challenge was the increasing negative bias most of us carry concerning social media and other connected platforms. Tools that were designed for collaboration are mostly seen today as beasts in their own right. Those inner worries we carry then affect our perception of reality, and thus we tend to make safe but limiting choices.
Welcome to 2022. Welcome to our January Newsletter. I hope you had a soft Holiday Season and managed to rest up. I also hope that you will see further opportunities to restore this month. I personally do not function well after a week or two of short holidays – I prioritise making time for rest every day, week, month, season instead. In fact, I prefer to adjust my life to the seasons in nature.
Welcome to our December Newsletter. As we enter the final month of this year, I am noticing the overwhelming need of my clients, friends and communities to slow down and to restore. So I hope that if you can, you are making time for yourself.
Welcome to our November Newsletter. Yesterday Voxel Hub was celebrating its second birthday, and it feels like this baby is slowly approaching the stage of early toddlerhood. In the next 12 months, we will be working softly on articulating the heart of our mission. We will simplify access to our content and write more and reach out to new audiences. We will focus on the core of our identity in relation to other, similar initiatives: the one to one relationship of humans with technology. So thank you for all your kind support so far, and stay tuned for this next stage of our journey.
Welcome to our October newsletter. This month we are talking about healing and the challenges that come with it. This month I reflect on the trauma of social injustice, individual and collective recovery. What is healing for you?
