Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest have algorithms in place to manage the distribution of content. In daily conversations, I still often meet people who are completely unaware of this. And as the awareness grows, people’s attitudes shift too. Some people like the ease of finding local events (recommended based on their location), others suffer from irrelevant or intrusive ads.
It might be helpful to start learning just the basics of how those algorithms work on the networks you tend to use, simply to make the platform work for you, not against you.
