I recently suffered from two days of cheeky migraine, so here is a good breathing exercise that might help. Migraines – often a result of prolonged stress – can creep up so quietly that by the time the headache settles in, it is too late and we need strong medicine. However, we can possibly try to drink loads of water, rest and relax our facial muscles. To practice horse breath, open your mouth just a little bit, take a deep breath and make the sound of a horse while softly releasing the air.
.
Small tip for parents: this breathing exercise is fun for smaller kids and can be sneaked into the teen routine too.
.
Tip for a stressful moment: use it to release the emotions that come with the feeling of “fed up” or build it into your final transition routine at the end of the working day, when you close your devices.
