We took some time off to restore over the holidays and to support our clients with the transitions into and from the holiday season, so let’s talk about the most subtle, but most important form of healing: breath. Here is the first tip: place your hands on your lower ribs and imagine that you are a butterfly opening its wings. Slowly, softly, breathe in to see your wings open up. Repeat a few times.
For shy people a tip: You can do it without people noticing, just put your hands in your hoodie pockets and do a smaller version of it.
For busy people: you can do it in a meeting or on Zoom when you sense your body needs to move. Actually, sometimes the most subtle adjustment of our body – gentle adjustment of one small muscle – can change how we feel so please pay attention to your experience during this breathing exercise.
