It is common for gaming to be used to unwind at the end of a long day or to relax when going through a tough time. Here are my recommendations for games that are best for relaxing:
- Animal crossing – this series focuses on building your own village and inviting new characters to stay in said village. It has a colourful and cute art style, and the characters are extremely loveable. This game is available on most Nintendo devices.
- Firewatch – this game follows a character named Henry who is a Firewatch man for a forest in Wyoming. This game is great for aimless exploration and beautiful scenery.
- Sub Nautica – Following a person who has crash-landed on an ocean planet, this game is visually stunning. While some elements of the storyline can be difficult to overcome, the visual beauty of the game creates a relaxing environment for the player.
These games are good options if you are lost on what to play to unwind, however there are plenty of other games out there that may suit your style more. Do not be afraid to explore!
