Virtual reality is no longer a futuristic concept but an integral part of modern-day technology. It provides us with a new way to interact with the digital world and can be used in many things.

·       One example of where virtual reality has reshaped our understanding of how we use technology is in education. Doctors use virtual reality to practice their medicinal skills; for example, doctors in medical school use VR to practice anatomy, and pilots use VR for flight simulators. For example, the Air Force uses flight simulators to train pilots before they fly a real plane, Formula 1 drivers practice driving simulators (and offer VR fun for fans, too), physicists use them to explore space and much more.

·       VR is also used in therapy to improve the mental health of those with PTSD, anxiety, and phobias by providing controlled immersive environments for patients, allowing them to face fears and uncomfortable situations more safely.

Overall, as VR continues to evolve, it will continue to revolutionise how we experience the world. In medicine, VR is saving lives as it allows trainee doctors to explore anatomy without using patients, as well as allowing those with severe mental health to have a heightened chance of recovery.
